Ciao a tutt*,
Welcome, I am really pleased to meet you (we do say that, right?)
In a nutshell: our baby Futura Care turns one and, to celebrate, we are launching this awesome newsletter (no bias).
If I was you, I would start sharing it (you will be among the first ones).
Summary:
Giving Birth
Expectations (yours) on womanhood in pills
Your to-do list
ONE: So it begins! Our first newsletter is out (to the world), and in (your inbox).
Well, this is not the real beginning.
It is actually 365 days after because Futura Care just turned one yesterday! ๐ฅณ
That is why we decided to get closer to you with this new format, which I find more intimate and more spacious.
Time flies! It feels like yesterday when I sat down to draw the first lines of Futura Care, and at the same time, I have the impression I have been working on it forever.
But this is often the case, right?
It is often the case when we embark on an adventure in which we strongly believe.
An adventure that ends up impacting all aspects of our lives. Something that overwhelms us and slips from our hands at the same time.
Because let's face it, founding a company is a bit like giving birth to a child.
Of course, the body changes a lot less, the belly doesn't grow, the breasts don't grow either, but many of the emotions we feel when we become parents are the same as when we become entrepreneurs, whether or not it's the first time.
And when we show our children to the world, well our startups, the questions we ask ourselves are the same.
Are they going to be okay? Are they going to be safe? Are they strong enough to face all the adversities that will come their way? What will people say?, and the list goes on, I guess.
But when you think about having a baby, the plan is not to keep them in a bubble and, the same is true when you have a startup.
You do not develop a startup to keep it to yourself.
You do it to share it with the world and, even more, to change the world itself.
TWO: You are probably like: okay, is she going to talk about Futura Care or what?
I will, yes, but not today. As a founder, I am used to going at 200km/h all day, every day, but with this new extension, I want to take the time to share a few pieces of information every week, in a way that is enriching (at least I hope so), but not overwhelming.
What can you expect? ๐ค
During this weekly appointment, we will explore topics that have women at their core. We will dissect some medical subjects but also some societal questions without giving up on more playful interludes.ย
How are we going to do that? ๐
We'll do that theย Futura Care Wayย that is: irreverent, thick, real.1
THREE: We are roughly 100 to read this now, and if you think this can be interesting and relevant for someone else, please do not hesitate to share it (or spam it! we love a bit of healthy spam).
Also, and more importantly, share your feedback with me. I'd love to hear from you and to learn on the way. I will do my best to get back to you in a couple of working days.
I am glad to have you here.
If you got till the end, you are a hero! ๐ฑ
& I hope you are glad too. (to be here, not to be a hero)
I will meet you here, next week, for another episode (this was the closing phrase for my podcast โ find it here). In case you miss us terribly, see you on Instagram! (or Facebook. Twitter if everything goes down again!)
Tons of love,
Silvia

Real: human, relevant, easy-to-digest, tangible.
We will always start from real-life stories and, you are going to be at the core of everything that takes place in this space (how hard is it to read this "takes place in this space" out loud?!).
Happy Bday !!
